MOBILE CONSTRUSTION UNIT TRAILER

While the signage of a permanent working place can be easily done through the permanent installation of warning signs, warning lights etc., the signage of a project with variable working places, for example

  • Construction of a new bitumen layer
  • Maintenance of a new bitumen road
  • Installation and maintenance of crash barriers and other signage material
  • Construction or maintenance of grass area in the center or the side of the road, is achieved only through the mobile construction unit trailer for working sites which is adjusted on any kind of vehicle and can be used in two ways according to the case:
  1. At different working places where there is a long period of execution, for example > 1 ½ hour, the mobile unit is disconnected from the truck. In this case the truck can be used in any other project, until the time you will need to transfer again the mobile unit.
  2. For working places which change frequently, the mobile unit remains steadily adjusted to the truck.

The mobile warning light system for working sites, is categorized in three types depending on the size and the loading capacity

  1. Big mobile warning light system for working sites, type KMEK1

  2. Big mobile warning light system for working sites with loading capacity, type KMEK1A

  3. Small mobile warning light system for working sites, type KMEK2

KMEK 1

Εach mobile warning unit consists of:

A trailer incorporating all the warning light system (fixed low part with foldable upper part that bears the warning light system). The metallic body of the mobile warning light system for working sites, can be upon request, hot dipped galvanized.

The equipment of the trailer includes:

  • A circumferential zebra sign, width 40 cm, with reflective sheet type II
  • A P52 sign of extra large dimensions (D=1,50m), mechanically adjustable in the positions ‘’go right’’, ‘’go left’’
  • A hitch of variable height so that its adjustment is possible on any kind of truck. Alternatively it is possible to adjust a hitch for use with small vehicles.
  • Direction, flash and stop lights which are connected with the electric system of the truck. a) For transportation on a truck, lamps 24V b) For transportation on a small vehicle, lamps 12V
  • Mechanic hand brake on both wheels which together with a system of reclining metallic supports; ensure the complete stability of the unit, in case of disconnection from the truck.
  • A metallic box, galvanized, dimension 81x52x35 cm fixed on the front side, which includes the electronic control device and space for: a) installation of a battery 180 Ah/12 – 24V and b) transformer 220 / 24V, in case of direct connection to the unit with power supply of 220V.

The upper part of the trailer includes:

  • A circumferential zebra sign, width 40 cm with reflective sheet type II.
  • Two warning flashing lights Φ300 mm with LED lamps 12V-24V / 50W, with flashings frequency (60/min.), category L9M as per EN12352
  • 25 lights with LED lamps, Φ200 mm, category L8H as per EN12352
  • Cable system for the connection of the lights to the electronic control device which is in the metallic box of the TRAILER.

Operation

When the mobile warning light system has been disconnected from the truck, the LED lamps operate with a battery 12V-24V/180AH. In case the unit is still adjusted to the vehicle, it operates through the battery of the vehicle 12V-24V, while simultaneously we charge the battery 180AH of the mobile system. When the unit is set to operation, the traffic is regulated to the right or to the left according to the needs of the user, by continuously flashing the right or the left lighting arrow. A solar switch regulates the intensity of flashes during the night, so that no blindness is caused to the drivers.

  • A circumferential zebra sign, width 30 cm, with reflective sheet type II.
  • A K20 sign, dimension of each side 1 m.
  • A hitch of variable height so that its adjustment is possible on any kind of truck. Alternatively it is possible to adjust a hitch for use with small vehicles.
  • Direction, flash and stop lights which are connected with the electric system of the truck. a) For transportation on a truck, lamps 24V b) For transportation on a small vehicle, lamps 12V
  • Position for placement of registration plate
  • Mechanic hand brake on both wheels which together with a system of foldable supports, ensure the complete stability of the unit, in case of disconnection from the truck.
  • A metallic box, galvanized, fixed on the front side, for a) installation of a battery 180 Ah/12 – 24V or b) transformer 220 / 24V, in case of direct connection to the unit with power supply of 220V.

The upper part of the trailer includes:

  • A circumferential zebra sign, width 30 cm with reflective sheet type II.
  • Special metal guiding flashing light arrow, dimension 80x80cm incorporating 15 LED super bright lamps of diameter 100mm. They can represent arrow with right or left direction. Operation is managed through relative switch. Lights are of class L2H as per EN12352
  • Two warning flashing lights Φ300 mm, flashings frequency 60/min, L9M class according to EN12352. The flashing lights have photocells, so that the flashings intensity is reduced during the night.

All the above mentioned signage trailer types are categorised as special purpose vehicles, category O1 as per procedure ECWVTA (EC whole vehicle type approval) described in directive EN46/2007 as last amended by Commission regulation No 2015/166. EC type approval number: e11*2007/46*3234*00.

Optional

In case of placement of unit in areas where continuous, continuous, controlled and seamless operation is important, it is possible to install an electronic device within the unit for controlling the battery level. If the battery voltage approaches the critical level, the device alerts by SMS the person needed in order to change the battery with another one fully charged. This can be installed in all the above three types.
